I was born on July 2, 1973, in the village of Kakkathuruthy in the Thrissur district of Kerala. During my teenage years, I nurtured a quiet passion for writing, penning short stories and hiding them inside books—kept private and close to my heart. Many years later, that early love for writing found its way back into my life.
In 2014, I arrived in the United Kingdom with my husband. Over time, I acquired British citizenship and settled there permanently. I am currently working in the healthcare sector with England’s National Health Service (NHS).
A turning point came during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, when I faced a life-threatening COVID infection and narrowly escaped death. This profound experience rekindled my passion for writing. During the period of isolation, I began writing poems on Facebook, which gradually led me to write short stories and, eventually, novels.
In 2023, my first novel Periyarin Theerathu and my poetry collection Himavazhiyile Aksharangal, comprising 41 poems, were published by Vayanappura Publications, Ernakulam.
In November 2024, at the Sharjah International Book Fair, my novel Manassariyathe and its English translation, Lost Mind: An Expat’s Life Story, were released.
In October 2025, I participated in the world-renowned Frankfurt Book Fair in Germany. The following month, at the Sharjah International Book Fair in November 2025, my novel Prayanam and the short story collection Thanalidam, consisting of nine short stories, were released. In the same month, my novel Chunda was launched at Koonammavu Vayanashala, Ernakulam, and was later translated into English.
In connection with the 2025 Sharjah International Book Fair, I received a recognition award from a Dubai Police major in my capacity as an expatriate writer. In November 2025, I was also honored with the Best Expatriate Writer Award by the Padiyoor Sabarmathi Cultural Forum in the Thrissur district, receiving the award from Honorable Kerala MLA Mathew Kuzhalnadan.
